the redcoats are coming

only weeks ago, the notion of resisting an overreaching government belonged to the militarized gun nuts of the far-right. this dynamic always felt perverse, with people trying to rebel against a government that was merely protecting the people’s rights. it all felt upside down.

after the election, however, this relationship flipped right side up. now, those who believe in equality, justice, fairness, and freedom, have seized the symbols that previously leaned right. now, to be against the incoming corruption is to be a rebel. we are the ones who will fly the “don’t tread on me” and “come and take it” flags. we are the ones who will not bend to the incoming administrations’s incorrigible will. we are now the underdogs fighting for representation.

the new administration is a house full of redcoats, and we will forever oppose them in hopes of winning back our liberty.
